What is an affiliate network business model?

AFFILIATE MARKETING BUSINESS MODEL :

    Affiliate marketing is something where you promote or refer products as an online retailer and earn commission based on the sales you made. Affiliate marketing is simply where you sign up with a company or a network and sell their products or services to your website. You will earn every time someone either buys something or executes the desired action. Selling the products is harder but with the right strategy, they can be worth it in the value they offer with their monthly paychecks. There are so many ways to make money online but in my opinion, one of the simplest ways to make large amounts quickly and easily is affiliate marketing. The beauty of affiliate marketing is that you are selling other people’s products, which means you never have to spend any money.

How Affiliate Marketing Works :

1. Customer visits publisher website

2. Customer sees advertising banner/link

and clicks through via an affiliate tracking link. The customer will likely not realize they have used an affiliate link

3. The click is tracked by the affiliate network and a cookie is placed on the customer’s device to identify them as being referred by an affiliate network

4. The customer completes an online purchase

5. The advertiser fires the Affiliate Network’s tracking tag which reports the sale to the affiliate network as there is a cookie present

6. The Affiliate Network reports the sale to the advertiser and they pay the agreed commission for that sale

7. The Affiliate Network pays the commission to the publisher as a reward for generating the sale
